Experience in Planning and Designing Joint Loan Products and Establishing a Bank
"Data and AI Capabilities... the Right Person to Lead a 'Digital Savings Bank'"
Fintech company Finda announced on Friday that it has appointed Park Yeonhyun, former head of the Corporate Products Division at Toss Bank, as the new CEO of Finda Savings Bank.
Born in 1989, Park graduated from Korea University's Department of Business Administration and Statistics. After working as a financial strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting, he joined Toss Bank as an early member, where he was responsible for establishing the bank, developing its strategy and pursuing new businesses. As project owner of the joint lending squad at Toss Bank, he led the entire process of planning, designing and launching Together Loan, the first joint loan product in Korea. He later served as head of the Strategy Development Team and, until recently, head of the Corporate Products Division.
Park is regarded as a leader with the planning and execution skills to oversee the full scope of financial business, from identifying new financial business models to building a banking platform and planning and launching new products. During the establishment of Toss Bank, he built key areas essential to bank operations, including finance, risk management and business development. He also played a leading role in developing new business models such as partnerships for the issuance of promissory notes, joint loans and corporate banking, and turning them into actual products.
With his experience and execution capabilities across financial business, Park is seen as the right person to lay the groundwork for the early growth of a digital savings bank by leveraging Finda's data and AI capabilities. Finda plans to combine the platform's competitive strengths with the banking functions of a savings bank, drawing on Park's experience in planning and developing financial products and his strategic planning capabilities.
Finda aims to use the data it has accumulated through operating a loan comparison platform to analyze customers' financial needs in greater detail and incorporate those insights into credit assessment strategies and digital product planning, thereby strengthening Finda Savings Bank's lending competitiveness. It also plans to design products suited to customers' diverse financial circumstances and enhance the customer experience, from exploring financial products through to using them.
