Seoul Conducts 'Joint On-Site Rapid Integrated Planning Consultation' for Reconstruction of Four Complexes in Suseo Housing Site Development District

City and District Officials and Experts (MP/MA) Form a "One-Team"
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on October 22 that it had conducted a "field-tailored Rapid Integrated Planning consultation" to accelerate the reconstruction of four apartment complexes in the Suseo Housing Site Development District in Gangnam District: Suseo Dongik, Shindonga, Samik, and Hanareum. The initiative aims to speed up the reconstruction-related administrative procedures by grouping the four complexes in the Suseo area.

View original imageThe on-site consultation was launched to move beyond paperwork-focused administration and develop a highly actionable maintenance plan based on an assessment of the area. A "One-Team" comprising city and district officials and experts in urban planning, architecture, and transportation visited the site to assess at once differences in ground elevation within the area, road network connectivity, and current traffic conditions, and plans to reflect its findings in the maintenance plan.
The Rapid Integrated Planning consultation project conducts an intensive review tailored to the conditions of each site to ensure a high-quality plan from the early stages of planning. It aims to substantially reduce the repeated revisions and supplements during subsequent review processes and accelerate maintenance projects overall.

Myung Nojun, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Housing Office, said, "The simultaneous on-site consultation for the four complexes in the Suseo area of Gangnam District is intended to move beyond desk-based administration and maximize the pace of reconstruction in Gangnam through practical support. We will provide every form of administrative support to ensure the Suseo area can quickly become an optimized, high-quality residential district by accurately reflecting on-site conditions and local circumstances."
