GM has participated in DIFA for five consecutive years since 2022. This year, it has set up an experiential booth featuring Cadillac's flagship, full-size electric SUV, the 2026 Escalade IQ. The booth will give visitors an in-depth look at GM's latest electrification platform technology, digital user experience, and engineering capabilities.
GM Technical Center Korea (GMTCK), which is operating the exhibition hall, has divided the space into four zones: an "Event Zone" with activities for visitors; a "Vehicle Zone" where visitors can view vehicles including the Escalade IQ; a "Consulting Zone" offering career advice and recruitment information; and a "Virtual Mobility Zone" where visitors can experience virtual reality technology. Visitors can learn firsthand not only about the new vehicle but also about GMTCK's vehicle research and development capabilities and workplace culture.
At the DIFA 2026 conference keynote address held on the afternoon of Oct. 21, speakers shared the message that as artificial intelligence (AI) transforms the automotive industry and everyday life, human judgment and responsibility, as well as trust in technology, should be core values of future mobility, going beyond technological performance alone.
"DIFA 2026 is a meaningful opportunity to showcase both GM's electrification technology and GMTCK's capabilities in applying it to vehicle development, and to share our vision for the future of mobility," said Brian McMurray, president of GMTCK. "Through this exhibition, we hope to highlight GM's technology and GMTCK's role, and expand our engagement with visitors, industry professionals, and future talent."
