The lineup consists of five new items in 11 varieties and two redesigned items in five varieties based on existing bestsellers.
The new items are a facial cleansing headband, mouse pad, gel-ink ballpoint pen, luggage tag and drawstring bag. They were designed mainly as household and everyday goods that can be used at home, at work or while traveling. The drawstring bag features a line drawing of a skyline combining Songpa landmarks, including The Sphere, Lotte World Tower and the Peace Gate. It can be used as either a bag or a pouch.
The redesigned items are Haha and Hoho plush keychains and phone grips. The plush keychains, which ranked first in both units sold and sales revenue among the district’s tourism souvenirs last year, have been updated with new mascot expressions and embroidered strap designs. The phone grips, first released in 2023, now feature magnetic attachment and a mirror.
Sales of Songpa-gu tourism souvenirs have risen sharply since the district introduced its new city brand and mascots in 2023. A total of 5,297 items were sold last year, generating approximately 46 million won in sales. Compared with 2022, before the city brand was introduced, sales volume increased 2.2 times and sales revenue rose 3.3 times. Since 2023, the district has developed 19 new souvenir items, including magnets, hand towels, UV-blocking umbrellas and keychains, and currently sells about 23 items.
“I hope tourism souvenirs that capture Songpa’s appeal will not only preserve travel memories but also be useful in everyday life,” District Mayor Seo Gang-seok said. “We will continue to develop souvenirs that combine practicality with local character and further enhance Songpa’s city brand.”
