Mapo-gu to Provide Delivery Workers Up to 200,000 Won Each
For registered job seekers... Applications close Nov. 6
Mapo-gu, Seoul, will provide platform delivery workers with up to 200,000 won per person, covering part of their occupational accident insurance premiums and either the cost of safety equipment or a health checkup.
Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Donggyun) said on October 22 that it is accepting applications for its delivery worker support program through November 6. The program aims to help prevent accidents and support the health of delivery workers, who spend long hours working on the road and have irregular meal and rest breaks. The district said it introduced support for the cost of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease checkups for delivery workers last year, the first such program in Seoul.
Eligible applicants are delivery workers who, as of the application date, are registered as residents of Mapo-gu or work for a platform company in the district. Before applying, they must register as job seekers at the Mapo Job Center on the first floor of Mapo-gu Office.
The district will cover 90% of workers' out-of-pocket occupational accident insurance premiums paid from November 2025 through October 2026, up to 100,000 won. Workers may also receive up to an additional 100,000 won for either safety equipment purchases or a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease checkup. They cannot receive support for both.
Eligible safety equipment includes motorcycle helmets, dashcams, body cameras, protective gear, and heated grips purchased between January 1, 2026, and the application date. Applicants will be reimbursed for the actual cost, up to the limit, upon submitting receipts and photos of the items. The checkup support covers the cost of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease screenings received in 2026. Those who have not yet had a checkup may apply first and, if selected, complete the checkup by November 12 and submit supporting documents. At Seoul DMC Health Clinic, which has an agreement with the district, workers can receive a checkup worth 200,000 won for 100,000 won. The clinic is located at 179 Seongam-ro.
To apply, workers must submit an application form and documents confirming their delivery work in person to the Employment Cooperation Division on the 10th floor of Mapo-gu Office, or email them to the staff member in charge. Applications may close early if the budget runs out. More details are available in the notice on the district's website.
