SAMG Entertainment Uses 'Heartsping' to Raise Awareness of Child Disappearance Prevention... Receives Commendation from Police Chief
SAMG Entertainment is launching public service content to help prevent child disappearances, featuring its original character intellectual property (IP), Heartsping.
SAMG Entertainment announced on Oct. 21, Police Day, that it had produced a collaborative episode of the video series "Let's Go, Heartsping" with the Korean National Police Agency to raise awareness of the pre-registration system for preventing child disappearances. In recognition of its contributions to these efforts, the company will also receive a certificate of appreciation from the Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency.
The pre-registration system for preventing child disappearances allows the fingerprints and photos of children under 18, along with their guardians' information, to be registered in advance in the Korean National Police Agency's information system. This helps authorities quickly confirm a child's identity and reunite them with their guardian if they go missing.
In the collaborative episode of "Let's Go, Heartsping," Heartsping visits a police station and learns about the fingerprint pre-registration process with Podori, the Korean National Police Agency's character. The episode also introduces child safety rules that can be practiced in everyday life.
The content combines role-play, quizzes and hands-on activities to help children learn about preventing disappearances and safety rules with ease. It aims to inform guardians about the importance of pre-registration and teach children basic steps to follow if they go missing. The video will be released on YouTube and social media starting today.
A Korean National Police Agency official said, "We hope the video 'Let's Go, Heartsping' will give children and their guardians a chance to learn about pre-registration to prevent child disappearances." The official added, "We are grateful for the help in raising awareness of the police's role in child safety through familiar Heartsping content."
SAMG Entertainment has continued to produce public service content featuring its character IP. It has held campaigns to promote children's right to health with Good Neighbors and the Korea Health Promotion Institute, and ran a railway safety campaign with Korail Retail. The company also conducted the handwashing campaign "Building Clean Habits" with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and produced the "Gas Safety Song" with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation to teach children about gas and hydrogen safety rules.
