Inje County announced on October 20 that it will hold practical training on generative AI from October 22 to 26 for 72 public officials at the Information Technology Training Room of the Agricultural Technology Center. The training will be held in three sessions, with 24 participants per session, and divided into beginner and intermediate courses based on participants' skill levels.

The beginner course will cover the basic concepts of generative AI and the features of different services, with hands-on practice in writing reports and official documents, summarizing meeting materials, and searching for information. The intermediate course will cover administrative data analysis and visualization, creating policy reports and presentation materials, and generating promotional content. It will also address personal information protection, copyright, and how to verify the accuracy of AI-generated information.

The county is also supporting access to AI tools so employees can apply what they learn to their work. The Saeol administrative system currently provides eight AI models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, through Taimri AI, which is used by about 400 employees.

The county is also offering practical training for residents. This year, it is running a program that brings kiosk training to 78 senior centers across the county. Participants practice operating kiosks at restaurants and cafes, using basic smartphone functions, and using apps for everyday convenience.

The county also offers digital skills courses, including "AI and Smartphones for Seniors" for residents aged 65 and older, "Computer Specialist Level 2 Written Exam Preparation," and "Become an AI Picture Book Author."

Kang Heesuk, director of Inje County's Self-Governing Administration Office, said, "We will continue to expand training and support to improve the quality of administrative services by enhancing employees' ability to use AI and to help residents enjoy the benefits of digital technology."
