A festival where visitors can run along autumn forest trails and sit on a grassy plaza to listen to music will be held in Damyang, Jeonnam-Gwangju.
According to the Damyang County Culture Foundation on October 20, the "DAMYANG FOR:REST FESTA" will take place October 24 and 25 at and around Dambit Music Hall. The event will bring performances, hands-on activities, and local food together in one place.
On the morning of the first day, October 24, the Damyang Trail Run (DTR) will be held. Participants will run a course passing some of Damyang's main attractions, including Gwanbangjerim Forest, Juknokwon, Geumseongsanseong Fortress, and the Metasequoia Road. Registration for some sections has already closed early.
At 5 p.m. that day, R&B singer George will perform on the grassy plaza at Dambit Music Hall. Street performances, including circus acts, a bubble show, and a brass band, will also take place. On October 25, students from the Department of Performing Music at Mokpo National University will take the stage.
During the festival, children can enjoy a trampoline, a ball tunnel, and a woodworking workshop. A farmers market featuring local young farmers, as well as craft beer and coffee booths, will be set up, and a media art exhibition will be held at the nearby Dambit Art Warehouse.
