“Dallil Goyang” has been operating on one daytime route on a trial basis since June 15. The service area has now been expanded with the addition of one daytime route and one nighttime route.
Daytime Route 1 is an approximately 4-kilometer loop from Daehwa Station to KINTEX, the Sports Complex and back to Daehwa Station. Daytime Route 2 is an approximately 6-kilometer loop from Daehwa Station to KINTEX Station, KINTEX Camping Site and back to Daehwa Station. At night, the bus makes round trips along an approximately 11-kilometer one-way route connecting Daehwa Station, Baekseok Station, Daegok Station and Hwajeong Station.
The city will operate daytime and nighttime services using two autonomous buses. It plans to prepare for unexpected situations by assigning professional autonomous-driving operators and conducting regular vehicle inspections and safety training, as well as establishing emergency response manuals.
Real-time vehicle locations and operating status, along with boarding and alighting data, will be managed through integration with the city’s control system. The city also plans to improve the service by surveying passenger satisfaction and analyzing operating results.
