Jindo County Launches "Final All-Out Push" to Secure 2027 National Funding
Jindo County Governor Lee Jaegak Seeks Budget Funding for Key Local Projects
Jindo County in Jeonnam-Gwangju is making every effort to engage with the National Assembly to secure funding for key local projects in the 2027 national budget.
On October 19, Jindo County Governor Lee Jaegak visited the National Assembly to explain the need to advance key projects in the county and request active support to ensure that related funding is included during deliberations on next year’s government budget proposal.
During the visit, 16 key projects requiring central government funding were raised, aimed at improving local conditions, enhancing residents’ convenience, and laying the foundation for Jindo’s future growth.
Jindo County plans to seek central government funding, focusing on expanding infrastructure for local development and on projects closely tied to residents’ daily lives that they can tangibly benefit from. In particular, the county is actively explaining the need for and urgency of projects during the National Assembly’s budget deliberations, as the timing and scale of large-scale projects that are difficult to carry out with local finances alone may depend on whether national funding is secured.
The county is strengthening its cooperation with the National Assembly, emphasizing that each project can go beyond addressing local issues and contribute to revitalizing the local economy, improving living conditions, and securing future growth drivers.
