The exhibition runs through November 30.
The exhibition was organized to look back on changes in the city and residents' lives since Guri-eup was elevated to city status on January 1, 1986. It presents a total of 40 items, including photos submitted by residents and materials preserved by the city.
The exhibition features everyday scenes, such as weddings and neighborhood views, as well as records of people overcoming hardships together. Visitors can also see how the city responded to disasters and infectious diseases through photos of flood sites in the 1990s and disease-control efforts during the spread of MERS and COVID-19.
"This exhibition is a precious opportunity to look back together on where we started, how far we have come, and who has been with us along the way," said Shin Donghwa, mayor of Guri City. "We will build a city that does not erase traces of the past, but embraces the stories of the people within them as it moves toward the future."
