Ceragem said on October 20 that Chairman Lee completed the adult adoption process with CEO Lee in 2025 and gifted him 10% of Ceragem's total issued shares in 2026, completing the first phase of the equity succession and filing the related gift tax return.
Ceragem said the succession was Chairman Lee's decision, made with the company's future and management continuity in mind. After considering various alternatives in light of the company's independence and the long-term stability of its governance, Chairman Lee and CEO Lee chose adult adoption as the means of succession. Ceragem plans to consider a medium- to long-term succession plan, taking into account sustainable growth and management continuity, among other factors.
CEO Lee joined Ceragem as a new employee in 2003 and built experience in various fields, including strategic planning, marketing, and domestic and overseas sales. In 2017, he gained hands-on experience by directly operating a dealership in China's Sichuan Province. At Chairman Lee's request, he took charge of Ceragem's domestic business in 2018 and pursued a new growth strategy. Ceragem said CEO Lee's management capabilities and execution, understanding of the organization, and vision for the future, demonstrated throughout this process, contributed to the succession decision.
