NH Investment & Securities "Issues 100th N2 Retirement Pension ELS"
Event Offers Coffee Vouchers to Retirement Pension Customers
NH Investment & Securities said on October 20 that it will hold an event through November 30 for customers enrolled in its defined contribution (DC) or individual retirement pension (IRP) plans to mark the issuance of the 100th N2 Retirement Pension ELS, a product dedicated to retirement pensions.
Customers whose subscription allocation for the N2 Retirement Pension ELS is at least 1 million won during the event period will receive a 10,000-won Twosome Place mobile gift certificate. Customers whose allocation is at least 100,000 won but less than 1 million won will receive a Twosome Place Americano voucher. Customers can participate by applying through the N2 or Namoo app. Prizes are scheduled to be sent at the end of December. To join, customers should apply for the event through the N2 or Namoo app and subscribe to the N2 Retirement Pension ELS during the event period.
The N2 Retirement Pension ELS is an equity-linked security (ELS) dedicated to retirement pensions that NH Investment & Securities introduced in December last year, becoming the first in the industry to offer such a product. It issued its 100th offering about 10 months after launch. The product is not available through standard brokerage accounts and can be subscribed to only through DC or IRP accounts, in amounts of at least 100,000 won and in increments of 100,000 won.
The product's key feature is that investors can choose a partial principal repayment rate of 99%, 80% or 60%, depending on their risk tolerance. Among these options, investors who prioritize stability tend to favor the 99% partial principal repayment option. It is designed to repay 99% of the principal even if the conditions for a return payment are not met by maturity, limiting the maximum loss to 1% of the principal.
The 100th offering is a three-year product with 99% principal repayment, linked to Samsung Electronics and SK hynix as underlying assets. The prices of both underlying assets will be assessed every six months after issuance. If both are at or above 90% of their initial reference prices, the product will be redeemed early with an annual return of 6.00% before tax. The underlying assets and redemption conditions may vary by offering.
