Dynamic Solution, MagicLab Robot Technology Team Up to Tap Humanoid Robot Market with Hardware-Software Alliance
Dynamic Solution is joining forces with Chinese robotics specialist MagicLab Robot Technology to begin domestic production of humanoid robots and pursue global markets. The strategy is to accelerate commercialization by dividing responsibilities between MagicLab Robot Technology, which has robotics hardware and mass-production capabilities, and Dynamic Solution, which has brain-computer interface (BCI) and artificial intelligence (AI) software technology.
Dynamic Solution announced on October 20 that it had signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation in the manufacturing and distribution of humanoid robots and related technology at MagicLab Robot Technology's headquarters in Suzhou, China.
Under the agreement, MagicLab Robot Technology will supply hardware for its commercialized robots, while Dynamic Solution will develop software based on BCI and AI to support the robots' movements and applications, and handle domestic original equipment manufacturing (OEM). The companies aim to accelerate the commercialization of their robotics business by establishing an integrated business structure spanning hardware supply, software development, and deployment in industrial settings.
In particular, the companies will make establishing a robotics production base in South Korea a key area of cooperation. The MOU includes plans to produce MagicLab Robot Technology's robots domestically using methods such as OEM. As a domestic manufacturing and distribution partner, Dynamic Solution plans to provide market information, connect the company with customers, and support regulatory approvals.
MagicLab Robot Technology is a Chinese robotics specialist that develops and manufactures humanoid and quadruped robots, as well as joint modules and robotic hands. Its major shareholder is CATL, the world's largest battery company, and its valuation is estimated at more than $3 billion based on its Series B round.
Its flagship product, the MagicBot Z1, is a lightweight humanoid robot measuring 1,369 mm in height and weighing 40 kg. It features joint torque of 130 N·m and joint rotation of 320 degrees, enabling movements similar to those of humans. The company also has a range of robotic products that can be used in various industrial settings.
Dynamic Solution plans to leverage MagicLab Robot Technology's development and mass-production capabilities to secure cost competitiveness while strengthening its own software technology. Alongside domestic distribution of MagicLab Robot Technology's robots, the companies will also pursue the joint development of BCI-based rehabilitation robot services.
The scope of cooperation is also expected to expand to the Chinese market. The companies plan to proceed in stages, beginning with domestic distribution and production, as well as the joint development of software and services, and then broaden their cooperation to include entry into the Chinese market based on business results.
Through this agreement, Dynamic Solution will also bring the MagicBot Z1 to South Korea and establish a foundation for its development, demonstrations, and distribution. After the robot arrives, the company aims to complete domestic certification and registration procedures and begin consortium cooperation related to BCI and full-scale sales activities in the first quarter of 2027.
This partnership also reflects a broader trend in the global robotics industry, where hardware companies and AI and BCI software companies combine their respective technologies to pursue commercialization. NVIDIA, for example, is working with robot manufacturers through its humanoid development platform Isaac GR00T to build an ecosystem that applies robot learning, reasoning, and control technologies in real-world settings.
"Chinese companies are already advancing humanoid robots beyond simple technology demonstrations to the point where they can perform practical work in industrial settings," said Baek Myeonghun, CEO of Dynamic Solution. "In step with these market changes, we plan to secure revenue opportunities early and accelerate our efforts to gain a foothold in the market by entering it ahead of domestic companies as they prepare to adopt the technology."
He added, "Through our partnership with MagicLab Robot Technology, which has strong cost competitiveness, we will maximize the profitability of our BCI and robotics convergence business and secure stable revenue streams from the early stages of market entry."
