Hwadam Forest Invitation Event for Long-Term Customers During Fall Foliage Season
LG Uplus is expanding its invitation programs for long-term customers. The company plans to go beyond membership benefits centered on discounts and offer experience-based perks exclusively for long-term customers.
LG Uplus said at a press briefing held ahead of an invitation event for long-term customers at Hwadam Forest on October 19 that it plans to expand experience-based benefits reflecting customers' tastes and interests, moving beyond a membership program focused on discounts.

Its goal is not simply to hold more events, but to meet customers more often throughout the year through experiences that bring them back. The company also plans to expand its offerings beyond in-person events to online programs, making them more accessible so that more customers can take part regardless of where they live.
Membership benefits will also be expanded, particularly in areas such as fashion and travel. The company plans to strengthen its vertical membership offerings to reflect customers' more specific tastes and interests, and to expand global membership benefits as well as benefits tied to new areas and brands, including Seongsu and Hannam. In addition to full-venue rentals and exclusive invitations, the company will offer more perks that customers can enjoy ahead of others, such as presale tickets, early entry and previews.
In a survey of customer feedback, 46.9% of respondents who commented on membership said they wanted to be treated specially in recognition of how long they had been customers. This is the backdrop to the company's experience-based programs, including invitation events for long-term customers at LEGOLAND and Hwadam Forest, exclusive musical performances and a marathon program.
The customer experience-focused strategy is also producing tangible results. Searches for LG Uplus membership benefits rose 1,061% in August 2026 compared with January 2024, while the number of users of membership benefits increased by about 190,000 in August 2026 compared with the 2025 average.
About 46,000 customers applied for the Hwadam Forest invitation event, resulting in a competition ratio of 9.2 to 1. Held for the second time this year, following an event in April, it took place during the fall foliage season. Hwadam Forest is considered a popular destination for autumn leaves, with reservations highly competitive every year. LG Uplus held the event exclusively for its long-term customers.
Kim Miso, 31, who attended the event, said, "My family members, who are spread across the country, were able to gather in one place and make wonderful memories thanks to this event. My parents, who live in Jeju, have always been interested in Hwadam Forest, so I'm happy I could do something special for them." Kim Yeonsu, 56, said, "I applied because my father turned 90 this year, and I wanted to create a meaningful memory for my family. It was even more special to walk through Hwadam Forest side by side with three generations of my family."
Jang Junyoung, head of LG Uplus' Marketing Group and an executive director, said, "We confirmed that what customers want is not simply more discounts, but special experiences tailored to them. We will continue to develop our customer benefits based on their feedback so that they can enjoy something new and have distinctive experiences every month."
