Lotte Department Store Partners with Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to Promote 'a Culture of Honoring Veterans in Everyday Life'
Identify content promoting a culture of honoring veterans and launch participatory campaigns
Strengthen respect for patriots and veterans
Lotte Department Store is joining forces with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to promote a culture of honoring veterans in everyday life.
Lotte Department Store said it will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs at the Seoul Regional Veterans Affairs Office on October 20 to “foster and promote a culture of honoring veterans in everyday life.” The signing ceremony will be attended by Lotte Department Store CEO Jung Hyun-seok and Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kwon Oh-eul, among others.
The two sides plan to work together to identify and produce content related to honoring veterans and to carry out various initiatives to foster public awareness of veterans’ service and sacrifice. They will also launch participatory campaigns to help customers, especially young people, engage with the values of honoring veterans in an accessible way.
Lotte Department Store has carried out a range of initiatives to honor veterans, including the “Love of Country Grand Bazaar,” a concert supporting independence activists, and support for the Yun Bong-gil Memorial Association. Since March this year, it has also been providing rehearsal space for an orchestra made up of service members injured while serving in the military, supporting their emotional recovery.
