KR Motors to Suspend Motorcycle Production at Changwon Plant... Equipment Relocation
KR Motors said on October 19 that it would suspend motorcycle production at its Changwon plant, according to a filing with the Financial Supervisory Service's Electronic Disclosure System.
The company said the suspension was due to the relocation of production equipment following the sale of the land and buildings at the Changwon plant. In its filing, it said, "We will secure a new business site and continue production at the Changwon plant until the equipment is relocated. Production is scheduled to resume at the new site once the relocation and installation of the equipment and preparations for production are complete." It added, "In the long term, we expect improved business performance through enhanced cost competitiveness and production efficiency."
