Three public parking lots operated by the Seo-gu Facilities Management Corporation have received additional certification as “Excellent Crime Prevention Facilities” from the Gwangju Western Police Station. Including the three previously certified lots, the corporation now has a total of six certified public parking lots.

The corporation said it received certification and plaques on October 16 for the Hyosa Children's Park Public Parking Lot, Hwajeong-dong Public Parking Lot, and Yangdong Traditional Market Joint Public Parking Lot.

Three public parking lots operated by the Seogu Facilities Management Corporation have received additional “Crime Prevention Excellence Facility” certifications from the Gwangju Western Police Station. Provided by the Seogu Facilities Management Corporation.

According to the corporation, it installed emergency alert bells in parking lot blind spots and areas vulnerable to crime, and added safety mirrors to help people see their surroundings.

These measures are intended to reduce crime risks in parking lots used by the general public and ease visitors' concerns.

In September, the corporation conducted a joint inspection with the Gwangju Western Police Station to assess safety conditions throughout the facilities, including parking lot entrances and areas vulnerable to crime. The corporation said it received the certification after making these facility improvements and conducting on-site inspections.

A corporation official said, “We will continue to expand crime prevention facilities to other public parking lots in cooperation with relevant organizations.”
