Users who have received a replacement Moduui Card for public transportation fare refunds but have not updated the registered card number must do so by midnight on October 26. Starting October 27, they may not receive transportation fare refunds if the registered number does not match the number on the card they actually use.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Metropolitan Area Transport Commission announced the guidance on October 20.
After the government revised the system following the passage of a supplementary budget, the system can accurately verify usage only if the number registered in the app matches the number on the card being used.
In response, the commission and card companies have repeatedly urged users to make sure their card numbers match through their websites and apps. Since June, they have issued press releases and sent three text message alerts.
Users can check their registered card number by visiting the Moduui Card website or opening the app. If it matches the number on the card they currently use, no action is needed. If it does not, they should update it to the number on their current card.
Users can update their number only until midnight on October 26. From midnight to 10 a.m. on October 27, system maintenance will prevent users from signing up for the app or changing their card number.
