Hyundai Rotem Q3 Operating Profit Falls 11% YoY to KRW 247.1 Billion

Hyundai Rotem's operating profit in the third quarter of this year fell 11% from the same period last year. Revenue edged up, but profitability worsened.
Hyundai Rotem disclosed on October 19 that its consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year was tentatively tallied at KRW 247.1 billion, down 11% from the same period last year.
Revenue for the same period was KRW 1.6207 trillion, up 0.1% year over year. Net income fell 10.3% to KRW 178 billion.
However, compared with the previous quarter, both revenue and operating profit increased. Revenue rose 0.9%, and operating profit climbed 6.3%.

Cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of this year was KRW 4.6842 trillion, up 11.2% from the same period last year. In contrast, cumulative operating profit fell 4.7% to KRW 703.7 billion. Cumulative net income rose 4% to KRW 566.9 billion.
