At the program presentations, the children showcased traditional Korean music, harmonica performances and dance routines they had learned and practiced at their centers. The sports competition that followed featured team events such as rolling a large ball and tug-of-war, giving children, their families and staff members an opportunity to participate together.
The event was organized to expand exchanges among local children's centers and help children develop cooperation and a sense of community through cultural and sports activities.
Kim Mikyung, chair of the Hapcheon County Regional Children's Center Council, said, "I would like to thank everyone who supports the development of local children's centers and the growth of the children. I hope this event will remain a joyful experience and a precious memory for them."
Hapcheon County Mayor Kim Yuncheol said, "I am grateful to the staff members who work to provide children with care and education at local children's centers. We will continue to support children so they can experience a variety of activities and grow in a safe environment."
Hapcheon County currently has eight local children's centers in operation. They provide comprehensive child welfare services, including after-school care, academic guidance, and cultural and experiential activities.

Local children's centers are community-based child welfare facilities that support after-school care, education and cultural activities. Building on this event, there is a need to expand children's opportunities to take part in cultural and sports activities while continuing to improve operating conditions at local children's centers and the quality of their care services.
