Saongwon Targets European Market with Jeon and Chicken Products... Joins 'SIAL PARIS 2026'
Targeting Europe with jeon and chicken products... Stepping up exports to become a global food company
Saongwon, led by CEO Lee Jiin, will take part in the world's largest trade fair specializing in food and beverages to showcase the competitiveness of traditional Korean foods and expand into the European market.
Saongwon said it will participate in SIAL Paris 2026, which will be held for five days from October 17 to 21 at Paris Nord Villepinte in France.
Held every two years in Paris, SIAL Paris is a world-renowned trade fair specializing in food and beverages. This year, around 8,000 companies from 130 countries are expected to participate. It is a leading B2B food exhibition where food industry professionals from around the world gather to share global food trends and showcase new products and innovative technologies.
At the exhibition, Saongwon plans to showcase three types of jeon—kimchi jeon, vegetable jeon and seafood pajeon—as well as products made with chicken. It will focus on meeting with overseas buyers and identifying new business partners.
In particular, the company plans to present products that combine modern manufacturing technology and convenience with jeon, a traditional Korean food, as well as products made with chicken, highlighting new possibilities for K-food in the European market.
As exports of processed chicken products from Korea to Europe have recently gained momentum, opportunities for related products to enter overseas markets are also expanding. With a range of processed products—including samgyetang, dakgangjeong and frozen chicken—entering the European market, Saongwon is also seeking to expand in the region by developing chicken products that reflect changes in the local market and consumer demand.
Saongwon believes its accumulated expertise in advanced rapid-freezing technology and systematic hygiene management will help it meet the needs of local consumers.
Taking note of European food consumption trends, which place importance on health and nutrition, Saongwon plans to showcase chicken products at SIAL Paris 2026.
A Saongwon representative said, "SIAL Paris brings together food industry professionals from around the world, making it an important opportunity to showcase the competitiveness of Saongwon's products directly to global buyers. We will continue to develop products that reflect the needs of overseas consumers, drawing on the taste and manufacturing strengths of traditional Korean foods, and enhance K-food's competitiveness in global markets."
