Finger's PHAROS ERP Used for First Time in 93rd Nationally Accredited AT Exam; Expanding Educational and Practical Applications
Finger's cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, PHAROS ERP, has been used for the first time as an official practical training program for a nationally accredited accounting and tax certification exam. By emphasizing its web-based design, the company plans to reduce the burden on educational institutions of managing software while expanding its use to include accounting and tax practice, as well as artificial intelligence (AI) and data education.
Finger announced on October 19 that PHAROS ERP had been used for the first time as an official practical program for the 93rd nationally accredited AT (Accounting Technician) certification exam. The AT exam, administered by the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is a nationally accredited certification exam that assesses knowledge of accounting and tax theory and the ability to use practical software.
Starting with the 93rd exam, held on October 17, candidates for FAT Levels 1 and 2 can choose between Douzone Smart A and PHAROS ERP. Both programs are subject to the same assessment standards and exam scope, and the type and validity of the certification are the same regardless of which program candidates choose.
The key feature of PHAROS ERP is that it can be accessed through a web browser without installing separate software. Because it operates on a cloud-based system that does not store programs and data on a specific PC, users face less of a burden when moving between locations such as schools, academies, and homes, or replacing a PC, since they do not need to reinstall the software or transfer learning data.
It can be used in the same way anywhere with an internet connection, making it suitable for online classes and remote practical training.
Educational institutions can also improve management efficiency. They can reduce the work involved in installing the program on each of multiple PCs used for practical training, keeping versions aligned, and reinstalling the software whenever a PC is replaced. Tax law revisions and feature updates are also applied to the service automatically, eliminating the need to update each PC separately.
The system also includes features that support accounting work at actual companies. Users can import transaction data from HomeTax, banks, and credit card companies and handle voucher processing, ledger preparation, closing accounts, financial statement preparation, and value-added tax and withholding tax filings in one system. It also provides features related to human resources and payroll, inventory, and sales.
The company says that because the system was designed around business processes used in actual companies, users can apply the skills they learn through certification exams and educational programs to their work.
Building on its adoption for the certification exam, Finger is also working to expand the use of PHAROS ERP at educational institutions. Through industry-academia partnerships with universities and other institutions, it provides educational accounts and online practical training environments, supporting the use of PHAROS ERP in classes, special lectures, and student projects.
Finger is also preparing ERP education that incorporates AI. The company unveiled PHAROS MCP (Model Context Protocol), which enables AI agents to access and use voucher, financial statement, and business partner data in PHAROS ERP. The plan is to move beyond training focused simply on entering vouchers or learning how to use ERP software, and expand into education on analyzing real ERP data and using AI.
Finger CEO Ahn In-joo said, "It is significant that PHAROS ERP was selected as an official practical program and has now been used for the first time in an actual AT certification exam. The advantages of a web-based ERP system are that candidates can avoid the inconvenience of installing software or changing PCs, while schools and academies can reduce the burden of managing software used for practical training."
She added, "We will continue working with educational institutions so that learners can use the ERP skills they acquire while preparing for the exam in their school studies and in their work after graduation, and we will continue to enhance its AI and data features."

The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants first used PHAROS ERP for FAT Levels 1 and 2 in the 93rd exam. Depending on operational readiness, it plans to expand its use to TAT Levels 1 and 2 in the first half of 2027, covering all exam categories. Finger plans to build on the system's use in nationally accredited certification exams and at educational institutions to expand PHAROS ERP into a platform for AI and data education, in addition to accounting and tax practice.
