LG said it would begin its business review meetings for all affiliates on October 19. Koo will chair the meetings, which will be attended by the CEOs and business unit heads of each affiliate. They will review this year’s business performance and draw up business plans for next year. The meetings will run for about a month, starting with the electronics affiliates, including LG Electronics, LG Display and LG Innotek, followed by the chemical affiliates, including LG Energy Solution and LG Chem, and then the telecommunications and services affiliates, including LG Uplus and LG CNS.

At the meetings, LG will conduct detailed reviews of plans to implement key agendas selected at its quarterly meetings of affiliate presidents. The presidents have continued to review business competitiveness and preparations for the future, discussing the execution of AI transformation in March, winning research and development (R&D) in June, and ways to refine investment strategies in September. In particular, at the presidents’ meeting in September, Koo urged them to “move quickly and execute relentlessly so that we can win in the key areas shaping AI’s future.” The business review meetings will include wide-ranging discussions of AI-based future growth opportunities and initiatives for each affiliate.

Further developing cooperation with global tech giants and planning follow-up actions will also be key agenda items. This year, LG worked out specific areas of cooperation with Nvidia in AI factories, physical AI and mobility, and expanded the scope of its cooperation with Microsoft across AI infrastructure. As part of its “One LG” strategy to bring together capabilities across the Group, rather than relying on the achievements of individual affiliates, LG aims to maximize synergies among the affiliates involved and deliver results beyond short-term cooperation in the key areas shaping the future of AI.
