"In May 2027, the History Education Center and Yongin Jigwan Seoga, a combined humanities and cultural space, will open at Simgok Seowon in Sanghyeon-dong," Lee said. "Since the space is being developed with support from SK hynix under an agreement I pursued following my reelection, I hope many residents will make use of it."
"We are also moving ahead with plans to build the Sanghyeon 3-dong Administrative Welfare Center," he said. "Sports and cultural facilities are planned there, including a swimming pool with 10 lanes, each 25 meters long. We will ensure the project proceeds without delay so residents of Suji-gu can make good use of the facilities."
He also said he would link the growth of the semiconductor industry to improvements in residents' living environment.

Samsung Electronics is expected to invest about 1,000 trillion won in the national advanced system semiconductor industrial complex in Idong and Namsa-eup," Lee said. "Combined with SK hynix's 600 trillion won investment, the two companies' total investment will reach about 1,600 trillion won."
He added, "Another 37 trillion won will be invested in the Giheung Campus, where Samsung Electronics began its semiconductor business in 1983," emphasizing that investment for residents would be expanded alongside the semiconductor projects.
Despite the rain, Lee took commemorative photos and spoke with residents who came to the festival. He also expressed his gratitude to Lee Inhwa, chair of the Sosilbong Culture Festival Committee, and others involved in organizing the event.
