Sewoon District Printing Businesses to Get Resettlement Support... 'Jung-gu Sewoon WORKS' Breaks Ground
Completion targeted for the second half of 2028.
The Korea Federation of Printing Cooperatives said on October 17 that a groundbreaking ceremony for Jung-gu Sewoon WORKS was held on October 15 in Yegwan-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Jung-gu Sewoon WORKS is a public rental industrial support facility designed to help small printing businesses relocate and reestablish themselves after being forced to move due to the Sewoon redevelopment project.
The facility was initially planned to have two basement levels and 10 floors above ground, with 72 units. The Korea Federation of Printing Cooperatives continued to call for more space for tenants, and Seoul Metropolitan Government and Jung-gu accepted the request, expanding the facility to two basement levels and 18 floors above ground, with about 130 units.
Construction of Jung-gu Sewoon WORKS is set to begin this month, with completion targeted for the second half of 2028. Once completed, it is expected to serve as an urban hub for the printing industry, supporting small printing businesses as they reestablish themselves.
