Cho Kuk: "Han Dong-hoon's daughter-related allegations must be investigated by special counsel... Prosecution and police have shown bias"
Cho Kuk, head of the Innovation Policy Research Institute of the Rebuilding Korea Party, said on the 16th that allegations of fabricated credentials involving the daughter of independent lawmaker Han Donghoon should be investigated, saying, "The 'innocence' of Han Donghoon and his wife and the 'genius' of Han Donghoon's daughter must be verified through the Han Donghoon Special Prosecutor Act."

Regarding allegations that Han's daughter received a commendation for 20,000 hours of volunteer work, he said, "That is because the volunteer organization did the actual work, while Han Donghoon's daughter received the benefits." He added that investigators had not analyzed the volunteer organization's access records, questioned people involved or investigated the paper ghostwriter.
He also claimed that investigators had not searched the companies that made the apps or questioned people involved in connection with awards related to Han's daughter's app development and laptop donations. Nor had they checked whether these activities were recorded in her school records or used in university admissions.
Cho also raised the issue of unequal treatment in investigations, comparing the case with the investigation into Cho Min, daughter of former Rebuilding Korea Party leader Cho Kuk. He said, "The Rebuilding Korea Party made the Han Donghoon Special Prosecutor Act a campaign pledge during the April 10 general election and introduced the bill three times after the 22nd National Assembly opened. The Democratic Party did not respond." He added, "Now the final opportunity has come," and urged, "The bill must be revised and passed."
