The donation ceremony, held at Buan County Office, was attended by Lim Cheolsoon, head of NH Investment & Securities’ ESG Division, and Buan County Mayor Kwon Ikhyeon, among others.
The “Hope Tree Scholarship” is a signature talent development and social contribution program that NH Investment & Securities has run since 2005. It has supported students from low-income families facing gaps in welfare services. Since last year, the company has revised its support model and has provided scholarships worth KRW 15 million to each local government in rural areas. The program is expanding its reach, increasing the number of local governments receiving support from five last year to eight this year.
In addition to its scholarship program, NH Investment & Securities is actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility (CSR) through initiatives such as providing community refrigerators to villages and helping with farm work under its “Nongsim Cheonsim” campaign.
“The Hope Tree Scholarship is intended to help students pursue their dreams without being deterred by financial difficulties,” said Lim Cheolsoon, head of NH Investment & Securities’ ESG Division. “We will continue to support young people in local communities so they can grow into the leaders of the future.”
