KT said on October 15 that it had held the 2026 AID-X Day at its Pangyo office in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, bringing together employees over two days to share AX achievements and experiences. The event showcased the AX capabilities of various departments and group companies. This year, it featured exhibitions and presentations on achievements in four areas - business, innovation, work, and technology - as well as an AI hackathon involving employees.

In the business area, KT introduced a platform that analyzes data and generates dashboards based solely on natural-language questions, along with technology that analyzes app reviews and customer service feedback to improve services. The company also showcased a B2B sales innovation case in which AI agents help recommend products tailored to individual customers and identify sales opportunities.

The business and innovation areas focused on expanding AI applications in industrial settings, highlighting how AI is changing the use of data and the customer experience. The MAGMA platform drew attention for allowing employees to ask questions in everyday Korean, after which AI finds and analyzes the necessary materials and creates an integrated visualization dashboard. It enables complex analyses that previously required employees to download and process materials themselves to be completed with a single verbal instruction.

KT also presented a case in which AI was used to analyze customer app reviews and customer service feedback, reducing a task that had previously taken more than eight hours to under 10 minutes. Other demonstrations included Robot-based Services (RaaS), which use technology to continuously train and validate humanoid robots' tasks, and an urban air mobility (UAM) traffic control platform that optimizes air traffic flows to support controllers' decision-making.

The work and technology areas featured a range of next-generation technologies that support innovation in how employees work and stable service operations in the AI era. These included AX Works, an enterprise-wide platform that lets employees build and share AI agents for their work, and technology that uses AI across the entire process, from screen planning and design to code generation. KT said that applying its design system to internal projects reduced development time from nine months to six. The company also unveiled next-generation security and network technologies, including an AI security assessment platform that scans web services for vulnerabilities.

Presentation sessions covered not only completed achievements but also lessons learned and know-how from the process of applying AI. Examples included kode, a development framework that applies AI throughout the process from planning to deployment, and the experience of building a CFO Agent to analyze complex financial data using natural language. A total of 32 teams advanced to the final round of the accompanying hackathon, competing to build AI agents to solve real workplace problems. KT plans to turn proven AX cases and know-how into assets that strengthen capabilities across the entire group.

"A key competitive advantage in AX lies not in the use of AI in individual cases, but in accumulating field-tested experience as an organizational capability and rapidly expanding its use," said Ok Kyunghwa, KT's vice president and head of the IT Division (CIO). "We will spread practical know-how across the company and continue AX innovation so that customers and employees can experience tangible change."
