Mirae Asset Global Investments' TIGER US Dividend Dow Jones ETF Leads Peers in Year-to-Date Net Purchases by Individual Investors
Mirae Asset Global Investments' flagship U.S. dividend stock exchange-traded fund (ETF) has been expanding its market share, ranking first in net purchases by individual investors since the start of the year among ETFs tracking the same index.
On Oct. 15, Mirae Asset Global Investments said its TIGER US Dividend Dow Jones ETF ranked first in net purchases by individual investors since the start of the year among Korean-listed ETFs tracking the same index. Cumulative net purchases by individual investors totaled KRW 1.2827 trillion, accounting for about 79% of the net purchases by individual investors flowing into all five ETFs tracking the index over the same period.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the Oct. 14 close, the TIGER US Dividend Dow Jones ETF had net assets of KRW 4.2833 trillion, the largest among ETFs tracking the same index. Its share of net assets among comparable ETFs also rose to 62%, from 56% at the end of last year. From January through September this year, individual investors invested more than KRW 100 billion in the fund each month for nine consecutive months, demonstrating steady inflows of regular-investment and retirement funds.
Listed in June 2023, the product tracks the same Dow Jones U.S. Dividend 100 Index as SCHD, a leading U.S. dividend ETF, and pays monthly distributions. The underlying index selects 100 companies from among those that have maintained dividend payments for at least 10 years, evaluating factors including their debt-to-cash-flow ratios, return on equity (ROE) and dividend growth rates to assess their financial soundness and ability to sustain dividend payments.
