Banksalad Files Patent Applications for AI Agent Decision-Making and Execution Control Technology
Focus on Building Customer Safeguards... Verifying Financial Information and Calculations
Banksalad said on October 15 that it had filed three patent applications related to technology for controlling the decision-making and execution of financial AI agents.
The technology blocks potential risks that may arise when AI agents conduct financial transactions on behalf of consumers. Because even a simple calculation error in a financial transaction can lead to significant losses, the technology focuses on ensuring the reliability and safety of AI agents.
Banksalad focused on developing technical safeguards, including determining what actions to take, verifying figures, and controlling execution, to prevent hallucination errors in which AI generates distorted information and gives factually incorrect answers.
First, the company developed technology to identify customers who may qualify for loans at lower interest rates during preliminary loan screenings, taking into account conditions such as their credit status. It improved accuracy by training AI prediction models on actual screening results.
The company also developed technology to check for missing information as AI analyzes financial product information and personalized benefits. The figures calculated using formulas prescribed by financial regulations, such as the debt service ratio (DSR) and loan-to-value ratio (LTV), are cross-checked as a final step.
The technology also includes the ability to hold off on transactions that would disadvantage customers. The key is to ensure that, when an AI agent executes a financial service, it checks the accuracy of the figures and information entered according to established principles and remains in control through the final step to prevent incorrect decisions.
Banksalad has evolved from MyData into a data- and AI-based financial platform. Through intelligent financial decision-making solutions, it delivers financial services that enable customers to receive maximum benefits at the optimal time. Based on its proprietary data on finance, health, products, and transaction outcomes, the platform presents financial options tailored to users, such as reducing loan interest costs, expanding card benefits, and lowering insurance premiums, and connects those options to actual financial actions.
