Bithumb Launches OK Cashbag Bitcoin Double Rewards Service
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is teaming up with integrated mileage service OK Cashbag to launch a service that turns everyday spending into Bitcoin rewards.
Bithumb announced on October 15 that it had officially launched its "OK Cashbag Bitcoin Double Rewards" service. Since October 14, users who agree to the partnership and earn points at participating merchants or in the app have automatically received Bitcoin rewards linked to the points they earn.
Benefits vary by user type. Existing Bithumb members receive Bitcoin worth 50 won for every 50 OK Cashbag points earned under the "Double Rewards" program. The limit is 100 won per day and 3,000 won per month.
First-time Bithumb members receive a significantly enhanced "100x Rewards" benefit. For every 50 points earned, they receive 100 times that amount in Bitcoin, up to 10,000 won per day and 50,000 won per month.
In addition, new members who agree to the partnership and complete at least one transaction on Bithumb receive an extra 20,000 OK Cashbag points. With the 20,000 won in investment support included, first-time Bithumb members can receive benefits worth up to 90,000 won.
The range of activities eligible for Bitcoin rewards is also broad. In addition to various point-earning activities in the OK Cashbag app, points earned through card use—including OK Cashbag partner credit cards and the OKi Card, an OK Cashbag prepaid card—also accrue Bitcoin. Points earned in everyday activities such as dining, buying coffee, fueling up and going to the movies can likewise be converted into Bitcoin rewards.
