Yongin City to Bring Mobile Health Screenings to Women Farmers in 3 Townships Starting Oct. 29
For women farmers aged 51-80 in Cheoin-gu born in even-numbered years
Screenings cover five areas, including musculoskeletal and cardiovascular conditions
Yongin Special City in Gyeonggi Province is offering mobile health screenings for women farmers who have difficulty visiting medical institutions.
Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sangil) announced on October 15 that it will conduct the “2026 Second Mobile Special Health Screening for Women Farmers” for women farmers in Cheoin-gu from October 29 to November 2.
The screenings are intended to support the health of women farmers who have difficulty accessing medical institutions because of busy schedules during the farming season and transportation inconveniences.
Eligible participants are women farmers aged 51 to 80 who live in Cheoin-gu and were born in an even-numbered year.
The screenings will begin in Pogok-eup on October 29, continue in Mohyeon-eup on October 30, and conclude in Yangji-eup on November 2. They will be held at the administrative welfare centers in each township.
The screenings cover 10 items across five areas: musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, risk of fractures and injuries, lung capacity, and pesticide poisoning. Participants will also receive personalized health education on disease prevention after their screenings.
Women farmers who wish to be screened can apply online through the Nong-eop e-ji website or call the Yongin City Agriculture Policy Division.

A Yongin City official said, “We hope this mobile screening will give women farmers who have skipped health checkups because of busy schedules during the farming season and difficulties getting around an opportunity to check their health.” The official added, “We will continue to expand tailored welfare services that farmers can experience firsthand, taking into account Yongin’s characteristics as a city where urban and rural areas coexist.”
