Hwasun County Offers Hands-On Training in Eco-Friendly Fermentation Farming, Recruiting 40 on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
Expected to improve soil conditions and reduce the use of chemical inputs
As rising fertilizer and agricultural supply prices increase production costs for farmers, Hwasun County is offering technical training to help them make and use agricultural supplies themselves.
According to Hwasun County on October 14, the county is recruiting 40 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the eco-friendly fermentation farming course in its "2026 Basic Farming Technology Training for New Farmers" program.
The training will focus on hands-on practice, teaching participants how to make agricultural supplies themselves and use them in ways suited to the farming conditions of their individual farms.
The county expects that farmers who learn to make agricultural supplies themselves will be able to reduce the financial burden of purchasing them. It also expects the application of eco-friendly fermentation farming methods in the field to improve soil conditions and reduce the use of chemical inputs.
The training is open to Hwasun County residents interested in fermentation farming methods. Residents wishing to participate can apply in person at the Hwasun County Agricultural Technology Center or through the "Training and Events → Apply for Training" menu on the center's website. For more information about the training, contact the Agricultural Technology Center.
