Chinese Tech's Rising Status Takes Center Stage... Lenovo Returns to Sphere
Immersive event blending technology and music at CES 2027
Second consecutive year highlighting its presence as an AI company
From PCs and smartphones to enterprise infrastructure... hybrid AI strategy unveiled
Lenovo, a Chinese multinational information technology company, will claim one of the most iconic venues at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2027 and promote its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings.
Following this year’s event, Lenovo plans to hold its annual technology showcase for the second consecutive year at Sphere, a state-of-the-art venue, with the ambitious goal of highlighting its AI capabilities across everything from PCs to enterprise infrastructure.

Lenovo’s choice of venue appears to be part of a strategy to strengthen its image as a company leading the AI era. Lenovo also held Tech World at Sphere during CES 2026. The event featured Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, AMD CEO Lisa Su and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who shared Lenovo’s AI strategy, while pop star Gwen Stefani gave a celebratory performance.
The event is expected to be a major production featuring high-profile figures and well-known artists once again. Melissa Harrison, CTA’s vice president, previewed the event, saying, “Lenovo’s event will be bigger and better [than this year’s].” Some also speculate that, just as Microsoft once regularly delivered CES keynotes, Lenovo may continue to headline the Sphere keynote as CES’s centerpiece.
Sphere is a venue that can make use of state-of-the-art visual technology. It emerged as a prominent platform for companies to promote themselves at CES 2025. At the time, Delta Air Lines received acclaim for presenting its vision for the future of the aviation industry there, and Lenovo took its place.
Although tensions between the U.S. and China are intensifying, Lenovo’s position is somewhat different. Lenovo acquired IBM’s PC and server businesses and also operates its headquarters in the United States.
“Every individual and business should be able to turn data into tangible value,” Yang said. “The future is not a question of AI versus humans, but ‘humans + AI.’”
The technology Lenovo will put front and center is hybrid AI. The strategy connects AI models and capabilities across personal, enterprise and public sectors, drawing on a business platform that spans devices, infrastructure, software and services. The company is emphasizing its ability to supply both AI devices and enterprise systems.
For personal AI, Lenovo will showcase a “one AI, multiple devices” experience connecting PCs, smartphones, wearables and other devices. The goal is to deliver personalized AI that understands users’ circumstances and context even when they switch devices. For enterprise AI, Lenovo will introduce technologies to improve efficiency across entire systems and enable customers to protect their data while retaining control over their own AI.
“At Tech World, Lenovo will show how its hybrid AI strategy is delivering ‘Smarter AI for All’ by further enhancing outcomes, efficiency, security and privacy,” Yang said.
