The WhatTyre Awards evaluate major tires sold in the UK on factors including performance and safety, and select a "Tire of the Year" in each category. This year, Hankook Tire placed 11 products on the winners list: three were named "Winner," two were "Highly Recommended," and six were "Commended."
The awards were spread across Hankook's key product lines under its global unified brand, Hankook, including iON, its dedicated electric vehicle brand; Ventus, its flagship brand; Kinergy, its comfort brand; and Winter i*cept, its winter tire brand.
iON, Hankook's dedicated electric vehicle lineup, took top honors in two categories. The iON evo ranked first in the "EV Tire of the Year" category for the third consecutive year, dating back to 2024, while the iON evo SUV took first place in the "SUV Tire of the Year" category. The iON FlexClimate SUV was also rated "Highly Recommended" in the "All-Season SUV Tire of the Year" category, while the iON FlexClimate was "Commended" in the "EV Tire of the Year" category.
Ventus, Hankook's ultra-high-performance lineup, also delivered strong results. The Ventus evo was named "Performance Tire of the Year" for the second consecutive year. Developed using the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology, it features an optimized compound designed to balance driving performance and safety. The Ventus Prime4, a premium comfort tire, was rated "Highly Recommended" in the "Summer Tire of the Year" category, while the Ventus S1 evo Z, a super sports tire, was "Commended" in the "Super Sports Tire of the Year" category.
