Insights into next-generation technologies and opportunities for collaboration

ZER01NE, Hyundai Motor Group's creative talent development platform, will showcase collaborative projects in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and mobility.

ZER01NE is holding the 2026 ZERO1 Demo Day at Hyundai Motor and Kia's Yangjae headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, through October 16.

ZER01NE is a creative space and talent development platform established by Hyundai Motor Group in 2018 on Gangnam-daero in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to foster a collaborative ecosystem for creative talent. The Demo Day was designed to give talent from various fields, including artists, developers and startups, a chance to present their projects and business models and allow visitors to experience them firsthand.

This year's event is being held under the theme "01 EMERGE." The theme reflects the potential for new innovation to emerge when ideas from different groups, including ZER01NE creators, Hyundai Motor Group employees and startups, come together. The event is taking place in the lobby of Hyundai Motor and Kia's Yangjae headquarters, which was revamped in March with a focus on connection and collaboration, with the aim of encouraging communication among employees and spreading a culture of creative innovation.

A total of 11 projects will be showcased at this year's Demo Day. They comprise three "ZER01NE Lab" projects, collaborations between creators and Hyundai Motor and Kia employees; one "ZER01NE Ignite" project from an internal and external developer community; and exhibitions by seven startups supported and invested in by ZER01NE.

ZER01NE Lab will present projects exploring future factories, mobility and new ways to use vehicles. "HMG-01XP" presents a vision for the transformation of future factories, drawing on robotics, human potential and sustainability. "OS (Operating System)" reinterprets the relationship between human-centered mobility and smart cities to propose an integrated concept. "Room No. Echo" introduces a concept for using a purpose-built vehicle (PV5) as a creator's mobile studio, along with potential applications for AI.

ZER01NE Ignite, a developer community project, will present "Physical AI Companion: The Traveling Soul," which aims to deliver a seamless AI experience across different types of devices. At its core is the delivery of personalized AI experiences to users across vehicles, mobile devices and robots.

Seven startups supported and funded by ZER01NE will also exhibit their technologies and business models. They include Pit In, a company offering subscription services for commercial electric vehicle (EV) battery packs; Coxwave, a provider of a generative AI-based work automation platform; Omelet, which develops AI solutions for combinatorial optimization; and Impactive AI, which provides AI-based demand and price forecasting solutions. Also presenting their technologies are Aim Intelligence, which develops generative AI safety and security solutions; Synergy, which operates a trading platform for renewable energy environmental products; and Arachne, an AI-based fashion identity data platform company.

In addition to the exhibits, the program includes presentations on innovative technologies from Hyundai CRADLE, Hyundai Motor Group's global open innovation hub; presentations of successful startup cases; and talks by creators in AI and robotics.

A ZER01NE representative said, "This event offers a chance to experience ZER01NE's creative projects in an open space where employees can communicate and collaborate and forge new connections. We hope it will provide an opportunity to share insights into the future businesses and technological changes of Hyundai Motor Group and discover new possibilities for collaboration."
