Kakao Ventures to Host KV Insightful Day 2026, Share AI-Era Insights
To Be Held November 10 at d.camp Seolleung in Seoul
Kakao Ventures will host the “KV Insightful Day 2026,” sharing insights from the AI era gained in industrial settings with the startup and venture ecosystem.
On October 14, Kakao Ventures announced that it will hold “KV Insightful Day 2026 - The New Native: The Birth of a New Way of Being” on November 10 at d.camp Seolleung in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Now in its third year, KV Insightful Day is a knowledge-sharing session where Kakao Ventures’ investment professionals and experts from various fields come together to discuss changes and perspectives observed at the forefront of their industries.
This year’s theme, “The New Native: The Birth of a New Way of Being,” explores how AI is changing human relationships and the way companies operate. Just as digital natives embraced the internet as a way of life rather than merely a tool and changed the standards of their time, new players are emerging in the AI era who are among the first to embrace it and establish new standards. The event will consist of three sessions: AI Companions, Longevity, and AI-Native Companies.
The AI Companions session will examine how the emergence of AI that talks with people and shares their emotions is changing the way humans form relationships. Kakao Ventures Director Kim Jiwoong will discuss how AI companions may redefine existing relationships. Gyeong Jiyoon, CEO of virtual entertainment newsletter Nekdeok, and Jung Seungwan, CEO of Bunker Kids, the operator of AI character chat platform WHIF, will join the panel to discuss new relationships forming between AI and users and how services are evolving based on them.
The Longevity session will explore how advances in biometric data analysis and personalized wellness technology are changing the ways people manage their health and aging. Kakao Ventures Senior Investment Manager Jung Juyeon will examine the markets and investment opportunities created by extending healthy lifespans. Felix Kim, principal at Next Ventures, a U.S.-based venture capital firm specializing in healthcare and wellness, and Kim Youngin, CEO of GaziLab, which is developing personalized wellness services, will also share their perspectives on the industry’s current state and potential.
The AI-Native Companies session will discuss how the very nature of companies is changing. It will focus on the emergence of “neo-firms,” which perform customers’ work directly instead of selling software. Kakao Ventures investment manager Gong Jiyu will analyze AI-native companies from an investor’s perspective. Joining the panel will be Kim Minju, partner at Storm Ventures, a Silicon Valley investment firm specializing in business-to-business (B2B) software, and Ko Hyunji, CEO of Modepick, which is redefining AI-powered overseas purchasing services.
The event is open to anyone interested in the startup ecosystem, including aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, students, and institutional representatives. The presentations will later be released in e-book format. More information is available on Kakao Ventures’ official social media channels.

As new players are appearing today and rewriting what we have taken for granted about how people build relationships, live, and work, Kakao Ventures will seek out teams that can help write the first chapter of this change and reach out to them first.”
