Emart Opens Preorders for Salted Cabbage... 20-kg Box for 29,800 Won
Regular salted cabbage supply expanded to 75,000 boxes
15,000 boxes of Golden Salted Cabbage also prepared
Pre-orders open via the Emart app from Oct. 15
Ahead of the kimchi-making season, Emart is holding a pre-order event for salted cabbage to help ease the burden on customers' grocery bills.
Emart announced on October 14 that it will sell salted cabbage through Order Pick, the pre-order service on the Emart app, from October 15 to 28. Customers can pick up their orders at a store on a date of their choice between November 13 and December 12.
This year, Emart has prepared a total of 75,000 boxes of regular salted cabbage for Order Pick and its home-delivery service, Order to Home, an increase of more than 15,000 boxes from last year.
Domestic salted cabbage, sold in 20-kg boxes, normally costs 49,800 won. Customers paying with a participating event card during the first pre-order period can get it for 29,800 won, a discount of 20,000 won. The first round is limited to 25,000 boxes. Once those are sold out, the second-round event will offer the cabbage for 35,800 won and award 3,000 e-money points, which can be used like cash at Emart.
Emart has also prepared 15,000 boxes of Golden Salted Cabbage, first introduced last year, increasing its supply by 50%. Made from a yellow cabbage variety high in lycopene, it will be available for 52,800 won with payment by a participating event card. Customers will also receive 3,000 e-money points.
Kimchi seasoning and salted altari radish will also be sold at discounted prices. The 8-kg packs of Central-style and Southern-style kimchi seasoning will cost 89,800 won, while 5 kg of salted altari radish will cost 39,800 won. The "Kimchi-Making Kit," comprising 7 kg of salted cabbage and 3 kg of seasoning, will cost 45,800 won. The new "Altari Kimchi Kit," containing 3 kg of salted altari radish and 1 kg of seasoning, will cost 34,800 won.
Customers who want home delivery can place pre-orders through Order to Home from October 29 to December 9. Emart Everyday is also taking pre-orders through its dedicated app, e-mile, through October 28, with more than 80,000 boxes of 20-kg salted cabbage prepared.
