A promotional performance for Jinhae New Port, sharing Changwon’s vision for the future, drew attention. In particular, more than 2,000 attendees chanted slogans including “Jinhae New Port is the hub port for the Arctic shipping route” and “Jinhae New Port is the optimal location for an integrated port authority,” and took part in performances, reaffirming their commitment to helping Changwon become a global maritime logistics city.
The second part of the event featured a variety of programs, including talent shows by representatives of village and neighborhood heads from each district, performances by invited singers, and prize drawings. Attendees took a brief break from the demands of daily life to connect with one another and pledged to join forces for Changwon’s greater leap forward, guided by the values of “field-centered, citizens first.”
“Changwon’s transformation begins with the efforts of our village and neighborhood heads, who bring municipal news into citizens’ homes and convey the voices of people on the ground without filtering them,” Changwon Special City Mayor Kang Giyun said. “Your hard work is the starting point for Changwon’s policies and the foundation for citizens’ happiness.”
He added, “We promise to provide wholehearted support and a strong backbone at the city level so that village and neighborhood heads can take pride in their work and carry out their activities.”
