Digital Daesung Begins Special Sale of '2028 Daesung Pass'... Expected to Benefit from College Admissions Reform
Digital Daesung is entering the online college entrance exam market with an integrated education product targeting students preparing for the 2028 academic year. With an integrated College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) without elective subjects and a five-grade high school grading system being introduced for the first time, the company plans to get ahead of demand from students and parents by offering content tailored to the changing admissions environment.
Digital Daesung, an education content platform company, announced on October 13 that it had begun a special sale of its 2028 Daesung Pass, an all-subject pass combining CSAT and school exam preparation for college applicants.
Daesung Pass, Daesung MyMac's flagship product, is an integrated online education package that gives users unlimited access to courses across all subjects. This edition reflects changes to the college admissions system for the 2028 academic year. The company has expanded its lineup of instructors by subject and broadened its course curricula to align with the revised CSAT system, including the introduction of Integrated Social Studies and Integrated Science, as well as changes to school assessment methods.
The 2028 admissions cycle will be the first in which the CSAT eliminates elective subjects and adopts an integrated system, while high school grades shift to a five-grade scale. The company said that because these changes are taking place at the same time, students and parents will need learning strategies that differ from those used under the previous admissions system.
Digital Daesung plans to get ahead of the market in the first year of the changes by promoting the 2028 Daesung Pass, which lets students prepare for both the CSAT and school exams with a single product. The company expects demand for trusted education brands to grow, particularly among students and parents navigating the new admissions system for the first time.
The company is also stepping up its brand marketing. Daesung MyMac has selected Daesung of the group BigBang as its new brand ambassador and titled its 2027 brand campaign "Believe It." with the Korean tagline "Believe. Because it will eventually come true." The company aims to raise brand awareness from the start of sales and attract more students by leveraging a consistent campaign message now in its third year and a widely recognized ambassador.
Digital Daesung plans to strengthen its content in response to the changes to the admissions system while pursuing brand marketing in parallel, expanding its position in the online college entrance exam market.
