The council members heard about each company’s operations and management challenges, and discussed ways to foster a business-friendly environment and revitalize the local economy.
Council Chair Oh Segil said, "I thank the businesspeople who are driving the local economy despite the difficult economic conditions. We will work with the city administration to ensure that feedback from the field is reflected in city policies, and strengthen support from the council."
The Gimcheon City Council plans to continue visiting companies and engaging with them, helping strengthen the competitiveness of local industries and revitalize the economy.
It is not enough simply to listen to the voices of businesses on the ground.
