Gumi City Council's First 100 Days with Residents... Making Its Mark Through Oversight and Legislative Achievements
Introduced 7 ordinance bills; reviewed 89 agenda items
Identified 534 issues in administrative audit
Putting "A Council That Works Well, a Strong Council" into practice
During its first 100 days, the 10th Gumi City Council laid the groundwork for its legislative work, prioritizing the introduction of ordinances, administrative audits, and on-site communication.
It strengthened its checks and oversight of the executive branch by identifying 534 issues during an administrative audit, while also working to resolve pressing matters closely tied to residents' daily lives.

Through 11 five-minute speeches and one interpellation on city administration, it brought local issues into public discussion and called for policy improvements.
In its first administrative audit, the council identified a total of 534 issues: 39 requiring corrective action, 128 requiring improvement, and 367 recommendations.
The audit focused on reviewing shortcomings in the administration and strengthening accountability. Training to enhance council members' capabilities also improved their expertise in audits and budget reviews.
The council also continued its on-site efforts to address residents' concerns. In response to long-standing complaints about air conditioning at Gumi Central Bus Terminal, it visited the site and explored ways to improve the situation through a residents' meeting and working-level meetings with relevant officials.
The 10th council's slogan, developed with public participation, is "Gumi City Council: Opening Tomorrow with Empathy and Trust." The council plans to use it as a foundation to strengthen on-site communication and responsible legislative work.
The next challenge is reviewing the 2027 budget proposal. The council plans to closely examine the necessity of Gumi City's major projects and the rationale for allocating public funds, ensuring the budget is spent where residents need it most.
If the first 100 days were a time to establish the direction of its legislative work, the remainder of its term will be a time to prove its credibility through results. Attention is focused on whether the Gumi City Council's pledge to be "a council that works well, a strong council" will lead to changes residents can actually feel.
