Hanssem said on Oct. 13 that it had launched Hanssem AS Care+, an extended warranty insurance product (EW insurance) that allows customers to extend their furniture warranty by three years, a first in the furniture industry.
Hanssem AS Care+ was developed with Hanwha General Insurance to reduce the repair costs customers may incur after purchasing furniture. Since premium furniture is used for a long time, the product focuses on strengthening after-sales service.
Hanssem AS Care+ extends the warranty by three years, allowing customers to use their furniture with peace of mind even after the one-year free warranty expires. Eligible products include Hanssem furniture such as storage systems, sofas, and beds. Rehaus products, including kitchen and bathroom products, as well as fabric products and products from other companies, are not eligible.
Even when purchasing multiple products, customers can choose which items to insure. After a single payment, the insurance coverage takes effect automatically when the free warranty expires. For breakdowns, the policy covers the full repair cost, up to the product's purchase price, with no limit on the number of claims.
Damage caused by customer negligence is also covered once a year. Customers can purchase insurance within 30 days after delivery and installation are complete, either through Hanssem Mall or at the offline store where they purchased the product.
