Samsung Asset Management Lists New 'KODEX US AI Agent Active' ETF
Samsung Asset Management is launching a new actively managed exchange-traded fund (ETF) focused on companies at the heart of the AI agent ecosystem, where artificial intelligence (AI) can make decisions and perform tasks autonomously.
On October 13, Samsung Asset Management announced the listing of the KODEX US AI Agent Active ETF.
AI agents are next-generation technology that goes beyond processing simple commands to understand work goals and plan and carry them out autonomously. As the AI industry’s center of gravity shifts from hardware infrastructure, such as semiconductors and memory, to software and applications that deliver real-world services, the growth potential of the related market is drawing attention.
The KODEX US AI Agent Active ETF invests in key U.S. companies that make up the AI agent industry ecosystem. It includes companies across a range of industries whose products and services are needed for AI agents to operate smoothly, as well as companies that stand to benefit from the adoption of AI agents.
As an actively managed fund, it flexibly adjusts its holdings based on market conditions and the growth potential of individual companies. In a market where competition for rankings intensifies whenever new AI agents are launched, its active strategy seeks to reflect market changes quickly and generate excess returns.
Its benchmark is the Indxx US AI Agents Index. As of October, its top three holdings account for about 47% of the portfolio: Meta, which is expanding its AI agent service Muse; Palantir, which is building an AI agent-based work environment; and Palo Alto Networks, which operates in the AI security sector. The fund also includes companies across related areas needed to power AI agents, including cloud computing, data, semiconductors, power infrastructure, and payments.
