This is the first large-scale joint training program since the three companies approved their merger plan and signed an agreement on August 21. A total of 270 employees promoted to manager and assistant manager across four job categories—general staff, cabin crew, technical staff, and aircraft maintenance staff—will take part in five sessions from October through November.
The training focuses on clarifying the roles associated with each rank and enhancing employees' ability to solve workplace problems based on mutual respect. In particular, participants promoted at all three companies will be assigned to the same groups throughout the program, laying the groundwork for meaningful organizational culture integration through interaction.
The program has also been tailored to each rank. The manager program aims to foster leadership that connects management strategy with front-line operations. It covers problem-solving exercises based on real-world scenarios, such as responding to unexpected situations following changes to the integrated IT system, as well as developing strategies to secure new routes.
The assistant manager program focuses on helping employees bridge differences in work practices and corporate cultures. Through examples of workplace conflicts, such as requests to add baggage just before check-in closes, participants will learn to understand differences in work perspectives. The program also includes communication techniques tailored to different personality types and simulated collaborative assignments to build a strong sense of cohesion.
