The agreement was established to improve the prospects for restructuring companies to return to normal operations by integrating KIBO’s specialized technology evaluations with corporate analyses focused on financial indicators.
Under the agreement, UAMCO will identify and recommend to KIBO companies under consideration for restructuring and companies targeted for debt acquisition that need technology evaluations, and share the information required for the evaluations. KIBO will conduct specialized technology evaluations of the recommended companies and provide advice on the results.
KIBO will provide technology evaluation results analyzing companies’ technological capabilities, business viability, rights status, and intellectual property competitiveness. It will help assess the prospects for companies to return to normal operations comprehensively, alongside financial analyses.
The agreement is expected to ensure that the technological capabilities of companies experiencing temporary management difficulties are taken into account in restructuring reviews, improve the reviews’ reliability, objectivity, and accuracy, and expand opportunities for technologically strong companies to make a fresh start.
