Promoting Balanced Regional Development in the Startup Ecosystem

The Korea Disabled Entrepreneurs Business Center announced on October 13 that it is recruiting participants for the 2026 3rd Entrepreneurship Preparation Academy for People with Disabilities.

This is the first time the Entrepreneurship Preparation Academy has been held in Jeju. The program was designed to provide practical training for aspiring entrepreneurs with disabilities in Jeju, where opportunities to participate in in-person entrepreneurship training are limited due to regional circumstances, and to lower barriers to accessing startup support programs.

The training will be held at Jeju National University on November 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a total of six hours. It will cover four areas: ▲understanding the Korea Disabled Entrepreneurs Business Center's startup support programs and application strategies ▲how to use generative artificial intelligence (AI) to write a business plan ▲the government-standard business plan structure and how to complete each section ▲essential promotional strategies for a business plan.

The training is free, and lunch will be provided. Enrollment is limited to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be submitted online through the "Offline Training" menu on Changupnet, a comprehensive platform for entrepreneurs with disabilities, or by phone until 6 p.m. on November 2.

Park Maru, chairman of the Korea Disabled Entrepreneurs Business Center, said, "We will continue to expand practical, field-oriented training nationwide so that people with disabilities can access the education and support they need to start businesses regardless of where they live, and work to narrow regional gaps in the startup environment."
