Yongin Special City Mayor Lee Sang-il stressed, "The achievements of the eighth popularly elected Yongin Special City administration were possible because public officials worked hard on the ground. As mayor, I must demonstrate my sense of responsibility through my work and the results I deliver, so I will continue without wavering in the ninth administration the work we have carried out over the past four years."

He said, "The changes and achievements Yongin made under its eighth popularly elected administration were possible because public officials worked hard for the city's development."
"I learned about many issues naturally while discussing administration and exchanging views with public officials," Mayor Lee said. "I hope they will come up with good ideas for more efficient administration and the removal of unnecessary regulations."
At the meeting, employees asked questions and made suggestions about organizational restructuring, personnel management, and employee welfare. They asked about the benefits the development of the semiconductor industry would bring to residents and plans to add staff to departments with excessive workloads. Some also said that work that does not reflect current realities or is pushed ahead excessively in the name of achieving results should be reduced, and that staff should be assigned more efficiently.

We will assign staff to departments with excessive workloads and help newly appointed employees quickly build expertise in their work."
Responding to suggestions that unnecessary work should be reduced, he said, "I agree that administration can become inefficient when ineffective or unnecessary work and projects accumulate. Removing unnecessary projects will allow us to launch new initiatives that residents can actually experience, so we will give this careful consideration and study the matter."
Employees also called for dedicated teams and staff to professionally manage eup, myeon, and dong offices, measures to address abusive complaints, and plans to secure more parking spaces.
