Korea's Leading Comprehensive Semiconductor Exhibition
300 Companies and 888 Booths
Samsung Electronics, SK hynix and Other Korean Semiconductor Companies Gather

SEDEX, the country's largest comprehensive semiconductor exhibition, is opening on a record-breaking scale and proclaiming the dawn of the "Silicon Intelligence Era" for Korea's semiconductor industry.

The Korea Semiconductor Industry Association said on October 12 that it will hold the 28th Semiconductor Exhibition (SEDEX 2026) at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from October 14 to 16.

Held under the slogan "Into the Era of Silicon Intelligence," the exhibition will bring together 300 companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, across 888 booths. This is the largest turnout in the event's history, with around 70 more participating companies and approximately 230 more booths than last year.

At the opening ceremony's keynote session, SK hynix President Ahn Hyun will speak on "AI Era: Asking What Direction Memory Innovation Should Take." Shin Dongju, CEO of Mobilint, and Professor Park Seungbae of the State University of New York will deliver talks titled "AI Semiconductors Ushering in the Era of Physical AI" and "Challenges and Opportunities in the Era of Future Computing," respectively.

At the exhibition, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, two companies leading Korea's semiconductor industry, will showcase a wide range of advanced products and technologies designed for the AI era. Samsung Electronics will present products and technologies serving all areas of cloud, edge and physical AI, including high-bandwidth memory (HBM), mobile image sensors and processors, highly reliable automotive semiconductors, foundry solutions, and next-generation 3D memory architectures. It will also unveil total solutions spanning memory, logic, foundry and advanced packaging.

Under the theme "The AI Journey That Never Stops (RUN)," SK hynix will introduce next-generation HBM4E and high-bandwidth flash (HBF) technologies, along with actual products from its core DRAM, NAND and SSD lines for servers, PCs and mobile devices.

Companies across the value chain that support Korea's semiconductor ecosystem will also participate. In the design sector, design houses and fabless companies such as ASICLAND, Chips&Media and Openedges Technology will take part, while Dongjin Semichem and MiCo will participate in the materials and components sector. In the equipment sector, Jusung Engineering, SEMES, PSK and KC Tech will participate, while Hanmi Semiconductor and Exicon will represent the back-end processing and inspection sector.

Various specialized seminars will be held during the exhibition, including the "International Conference on Semiconductor Advanced Packaging R&D" on October 14, the "JEDEC Global Standards Forum" on October 15, and "Semiconductors That Move Humanoids" on October 16. The Semiconductor Talent Recruitment Fair will also take place over two days from October 15, bringing together 18 semiconductor companies and 433 job seekers.

Park Geonsu, vice chairman of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, said, "Semiconductors are now the most essential foundation supporting the expansion of AI into the real world." He added, "I hope that not only industry professionals but also students and job seekers who will shape the future of the semiconductor industry will visit the exhibition and see the Silicon Intelligence Era firsthand."
